My first blog!

So I just finished my second week at Cazbah as an Account Manager - which means I am assigned a new account - a business - that Cazbah has created a website for and who wants to make lots of money using that website.  My job is to build a trusting relationship with that business and make sure their site is making lots of money; hopefully becoming close partners with that company and maintaining a relationship with them for years and years to come.

2 weeks in, and I am loving the work and the people and laughing at myself a lot.  The first week I was a total spaz ... spilling coffee, dropping lunch on the front of me, forgetting how to speak by the end of the day...

This past week I was asked by the president, Mike Seppala, to organize the company Holiday Party (which I love) and I offered to write a Cazbah song for the party.  (I've always got to be a little different ... living on the edge of having a good time and offending someone.  Love that edge!) Mike is playing the guitar and wants it to the tune of American Pie.  Not an easy write if you really look at the words and try to sing it.  So I am on my way.  The song will be a surprise for everyone to sing.

One of my fellow account managers is thinking of fixing-me-up with a friend of hers.  I don't know his name or anything about him except she and her husband like him a lot, he's tall, and has a great job.  I do like those career oriented guys these days ... we'll see if it ever materializes.  It would be nice to go on a date ... not sure if I have anything to talk about.  My life is: work ... homework with Alex ... dishes and laundry ... more work ... more time with Alex ... while squeezing in time to get the newest spot out of my laundry and dye my gray hairs.  "Oh, new guy I'm dating, did you see that Tide's new condensed laundry detergent comes in Meadow Breeze scent now!"  I'm hopeless.

Try this:
American Cazbah Pie

Long long time ago
I can still remember
The stock market used to make me smile
Now it's a little tough
Prices rising, jobs are tough
Maybe we'll cut back for a while...

The chorus goes:

Well, Charles and Mike, two American guys
Got us workin' at the Cazbah
Where the traffic is high
Them good ole boys
Make us laugh then we cry
Singin' Cazbah 'til the day that I die
Cazbah 'til the day that I die.

This new grown-up job is making me internet savvy - I'm on FaceBook (as Sue Mayo) I am on Instant Messenger (I think I'm suemayo.cazbah.  or smayo.cazbah)  One of those.  And I have my  profile on several "social media" sites now ... LinkedIn, Delicious, DIGG...   In a few months I will be soooo cool.  Well, maybe cool in a nerdish-comical way!  Ha!  Merry Christmas.
